There are multiple ways on full screening apps on Mac. Most of these methods have been forgotten or never used but would make us more efficient at multitasking on Mac. Split screen on Mac is always said to be sub par but that isn’t true any longer especially if you have a dual monitor setup.
Method 1: Using the FULLSCREEN Button
By pressing and holding the Fullscreen button(The green button in the traffic lights on the top of a window). Then dragging a window to a corner allows you split it in half and select another window to spit it with.
Method 2: HOLD & DRAG
This method is useful when you already have a window in fullscreen you just need to click and hold on the title bar and drag it to the top corner of the screen and place it next to the desired window.
Method 3: Spit-Screen with Multiple monitors
With multiple monitors you can continue to use split screen with the methods mentioned above. But you can drag a window(Non-Fullscreen) to another screen where the app is full screened and the window will hover over it. Sadly this does not allow you to drag apps that are not already on the same screen. I don’t think explaining it well in text just check out the video and it should make sense.
